What Does The Work of Scorpio Season Look Like?

October 25, 2024 | Renée Fishman

The work of Scorpio season is to plunge into the depths of our grief and our pain, to sit with our emotions, to explore their causes and origins.

Scorpio is investigative, penetrative, probing.

It is the darkness of the still waters deep beneath the waves, the water that runs through a pipe, an ice cube, a swamp.

It is the dark mystery of our emotions, our desires, our obsessions. It is the black hole of our grief, and the portal to our transformation.

What does it look like to do this work of Scorpio season?

What does it look like to go deep with your own pain and grief?

Sometimes it looks like falling to your knees as a wave of grief washes over you.

It looks like crying through the overbearing pain until you’re staring at the reflecting pool of your tears.

It looks like sitting in stillness, late at night or early in the morning, when even the birds are quiet and all you can hear is the churning of your thoughts.

This is the work of feeling your aliveness though your own pain.

The work has no one path, no one defining image, no singular feeling.

It asks only that we show up for it, as best we can, in whatever way we can.
