Venus in Leo: Commit to Your Creative Dreams

August 26, 2025 | Renée Fishman

If you want to create something bold and noteworthy, something that will naturally command attention, you’re going to need a vision for it; a dream of what’s possible.

Sometimes that dream might even feel unrealistic. Far-fetched. Delusional.

If you are committed to this vision, if you have the right structure and support, if you are dedicated, if you show up consistently over time, and if you trust your inner compass, you can create things that might have once been been unimaginable or thought to be pure fantasy.

Sometimes, it’s enough to hold the vision and be disciplined in your commitment to show up and do the work.

That said, let’s keep it real:

Your commitment to showing up consistently and your steadfast holding of the big dream doesn’t always prevent you from getting stuck along the way.

Sticking Points in the Creative Process

There are times during the creative process where you might start to believe the nay-sayers who tell you that you’re delusional; that what you see as possible is really just a fantasy. That you should pack it in and get back to reality.

When those sticking points arise, it can help to find a new angle. Change your perspective. Find a new approach.

➡️ Maybe the big message that you’ve been trying to share in an article or book isn’t landing because it requires your presence, your passion, and your personality.

Perhaps it would land more effectively if you shared it in your spoken voice, in front of an audience — where people can see and hear you and experience your passion and authenticity firsthand.

➡️ Maybe your TikToks, preview calls, or cover letters aren’t generating traction because you’re trying to follow someone else’s script for “what works.”

Perhaps you need to trust your inner authority and speak from your heart.

➡️ Maybe your business isn’t taking off because you’re trying hard to be a version of whatever you think success looks like.

Perhaps you will get traction when you start working in a way that is better aligned with your rhythms, skills, and talents.

A Small Change Can Change Everything

A small change in approach — a different tool, a new technology, a fresh technique — might be all you need to break through that sticking point and create what you envisioned.

Allow yourself to experiment. Walk away from it and then return. Look at it from different angles.

As you’re evaluating, notice where you’re giving up your creative power to the inner voices deep in your subconscious that tell you you’re being unrealistic or delusional.

This framework of vision, dedication, innovation, and inner work is reflected in the various signatures that Venus makes as it initiates its annual transit through Leo.

Venus in Leo is a Creative Force

Venus in Leo brings out the creative force that lives within you. It’s bold. It’s dramatic. It’s playful.

It creates works of art that stand out.

It’s not trying to go viral. It’s just good. It gets attention because of its quality.

Leo is a sign of royalty. When Venus is here, it’s like the Queen Bee: just doing your thing, being your authentic self.

You don’t have to try to be noticed, you don’t have to try to be seen. You don’t have to be something else to be recognized and appreciated.

Creating from your heart is what gets you noticed. You just have to be yourself and express who you are, and you can’t help but attract the spotlight.

Venus transits through Leo approximately once a year. So in itself, this energy is nothing new.

But no trip is ever the same twice because landscapes change.

The Perfect Storm For Creative Breakthroughs

Since the last time Venus was in Leo, the landscape has changed. We are living in a different world.

This is a moment of shifting alliances, changing borders, shifting power dynamics, and technological disruptions. On the map of the sky, this is represented by the outer planets all being in new signs.

As Venus enters Leo, it immediately meets up with these outer planets in new ways. These meet-ups happen all at once. Taken together, they can help us articulate a creative vision, commit to the project, navigate sticking points, and uncover hidden issues holding us back.

Venus in Leo trine Saturn in Aries

Venus trine Saturn (August 25, 8:55 PM ET, 0°25’) is a harmonious aspect that supports a commitment that you’re making to your work or to a project. The discipline to show up daily, over time. The systems, structure, support that will help you implement.

Venus in Leo trine Neptune in Aries

Venus trine Neptune (August 26, 6:18 PM ET, 1°29’) is a flowing aspect that helps you cultivate dreams and see a vision for what could be. This is the vision that may be delusional or fantastical — unless you make that commitment.

Venus in Leo sextile Uranus in Gemini

Venus sextile Uranus (August 26, 4:58 PM ET, 1°25’) is a supportive aspect that requires us to take some precipitating action. This is the initiative to experiment with your process: change your approach, your technique, your tools, or even your environment. One small change can change everything.

Venus in Leo opposing Pluto in Aquarius

Venus opposing Pluto (August 27, 1:53 AM ET, 1°51’) is a relationship of tension that asks us to dig deep. Pluto speaks to what’s under the surface, in our subconscious. It also relates to issues of power. Look for where you’re caught up in power dynamics or giving your power away to the naysayers and non-believers.

Today’s Delusion is the Reality of the Future

If everyone else could see the possibility of what you’re trying to create, then someone else would have created it already.

Being “delusional“ or “unrealistic” is not a flaw; it’s a necessary ingredient for innovation and change.

If everyone else could see the possibility of what you’re trying to create, then someone else would have created it already.

The “reality” we take for granted today — cars, dishwashers, washing machines, unlimited international calling from a small device that fits into your pocket — were once fantastical visions.

Until everyone else can see it, it’s called fantasy and delusion.

The people who change the world, who create stand-out works of art, who innovate new technologies and business models, are the ones who can see a world that doesn’t yet exist. They see what other people can’t see.

What Are You Creating?

In the hands of those who show up to do the work, today’s fantasy is tomorrow’s reality.

What are you committed to creating?
