What keeps you from being in your power?
What does it even mean to be in your power?
In a power over/power under dynamic, power is often equated with control or authority.
In turn, control and authority are often linked to other things like money, resources, and strength.
The person with the money has the power.
The person who is stronger has the power.
This is a disempowering way to look at power.
Instead, we can choose to equate power with agency.
In any situation, we have agency: we can choose how to respond. We can choose what to believe. We can choose where to focus. We can choose who give our time and attention to.
Where we find our agency, we find our power.
Today’s new moon in Scorpio, sitting in an opposition to Uranus in Taurus, is here to help us liberate ourselves from whatever is interrupting us from engaging in our power.
The twist is that the thing that is interrupting us from engaging in our power is the person in the mirror.
This new moon is an opportunity to take back the narrative threads that we may have previously abandoned, and to find the path to exercising our own agency.
