Not a past version of yourself, the person who once looked a certain way or did certain things.
Not a future version of yourself, the version of yourself you’ll be when you achieve the next goal, lose the weight, find the partner, get the promotion, or whatever else is on your radar.
I love myself now.
Now, as you are. In this moment.
Effects of Self-Love
Consider what happens when we love ourselves.
Consider the effect that has on those around us.
How we view others is a reflection of how we view ourselves.
How we speak to others echoes how we speak to ourselves.
The degree to which we can trust others, or offer kindness and compassion to others, is a mirror of our self-trust, self-kindness, and self-compassion.
