
If you want to have better insights, you need to look inside, from the outside.
You can’t have insights while you’re drowning. When your nervous system is in a state of hyper-vigilance, trying to stay alive, your brain doesn’t process insights. It only registers survival.
Insights and ideas come from seeing a pattern that emerges from seemingly random events.
That means that if you want to have insights, you have to get out of the overload for long enough to see the patterns.
