Full Moon in Taurus: Simplify Your Life

Tomorrow’s full moon in Taurus invites us to stabilize our foundation and simplify our lives.

Taurus is a fixed earth sign: rooted and grounded, it’s about creating a stable foundation. It loves the ease that comes with a blueprint and a plan. Methodical and deliberate, sometimes to the point of plodding, Taurus embraces the process.

The full moon in Taurus illuminates where we might have cracks in the foundation that are creating energy leaks, which in turn hold us back from creating the life we desire. As with all full moons, this is a time of release. It’s time to get rid of what is no longer serving us and get back to basics.

This full moon is also a lunar eclipse. A lunar eclipse turns out the lights and encourages us to sit with our shadows. Often, complexity represents a shadow that is uncomfortable with emptiness and simplicity.

We often hide behind busy as a way to avoid awkward encounters and appear successful. Simplicity can trigger feelings of not-enoughness and laziness.

In the darkness of this full moon lunar eclipse, we are invited to examine our relationship with the stuff that we use to fill our lives.

Here are some journal prompts for you for this full moon lunar eclipse:

  • What activities or things (physical or digital) are filling your life?
  • What’s the material and energetic cost of these things, in terms of acquisition, maintenance, storage, and searching?

Review the big things that take up your time and attention. For each one, consider:

  • How is it serving you?
  • If it’s not serving you, why are you still investing in it?
