Understanding what really motivates and triggers behavior is crucial to identifying strategies for success and eliminating sabotaging actions.
As a transformational coach, I’ve done extensive training in how to take my clients deep. I’m skilled in surfacing the patterns of that lie beneath the surface, in guiding clients through processes that help them befriend their fear, or rewire negative beliefs.
This deeper inner work is essential for transformation and lasting change. Without it, strategies and tactics are short-lived — like building on a cracked foundation.
That said, I’ll admit that sometimes I get skeptical. The deep inner work can feel like a form of escape from the real-world issues that my clients and I face.
ADHD women are already working so much harder than their peers. Sometimes we just want some simple hacks and strategies to help us navigate our days and our tasks lists with a little more ease.
I want to do something.
Of course, this isn’t an either/or; it’s a both/and. It’s important to do the “soul work” — the deeper excavation work that lays the groundwork for transformation.
Understanding how you’re wired is crucial.
And, we must take turn that understanding into action. Otherwise, you’re just spinning wheels in the depths of trying to understand why you do the things you do, in the way that you do them.
Sun in Pisces Trine Jupiter in Cancer
As the Sun in Pisces forms a trine to Jupiter retrograde in Cancer (March 5, 2026, 12:14 pm ET, 15º08’), it helps us see a way out of the depths and into action.
Pisces and Cancer are both water signs that provide spaces of nourishment, but with distinctly different qualities.
Pisces is the ocean: a place where we transcend specific bodies. This sign is where we tend to the well-being of the soul. Cancer is the womb; it’s concerned within specific containers, like the body or the home.
Pisces is a mutable sign: it’s fluctuating between seasons, half winter and half spring, negotiating endings and beginnings. The Sun here clarifies and illuminates what might otherwise be murky under the surface. Think about how the Sun’s light on the ocean gives you a ray of light to see further down.
As a cardinal sign, Cancer initiates.
And this is where the magic happens.
Jupiter here is in the sign and at the exact degree of its exaltation, which gives it resources to do its best work.
Think of this as a conversation where the Sun, having illuminated the patterns, is conveying them to Jupiter. Jupiter shows us how to weave these insights into our daily lives in a way that makes them useable and actionable, rather than more information.
The trine is the most harmonious aspect; it’s a relationship of flow. That means that you don’t need to force this too much.
Notice what types of activities and connections fuel your energy and what states help you initiate action.
Understanding how you’re wired and working with your natural energy rhythms is the best productivity hack of all.
