At a full moon, the Moon is directly opposite the Sun. It’s traveled halfway around the zodiac since the inception point of the new moon.
Full Moons are culminations. Peak experiences. They are the “summer” of the lunar cycle, the moment of peak brightness. Something that wasn’t fully visible is now coming into the light.
But what happens when you can’t see what’s coming into light?
The full moon on November 5 occurs in the sign of Taurus (8:19 AM ET, 13º22’ Taurus) with the Sun in Scorpio. It’s a lunation that offers support in addressing disruption and chaos, with a quirk:
From the perspective of the moon, we can’t see either the agitation that causes the disruption or the support available to us. At its core, this full moon asks us to tap into our deep sensory experience and trust the support is there.
Invisible Support
The Full Moon in Taurus is ruled by Venus, which is ending its time in its other home sign of Libra. Venus in Libra can’t see the moon in Taurus, but it still offers positive support to the full moon.
That support will come in useful to staying grounded amidst the chaos and disruption in the air — which also isn’t visible from the moon. (More on this below.)
Death and Rebirth
The Full Moon in Taurus pulls focus to the Taurus/Scorpio axis of the zodiac, which is about death and rebirth. Scorpio season gives us the specter of death around us: leaves falling from the trees, nature beginning to recede inward. Taurus season is the beauty of rebirth, when nature emerges.
These are fixed signs, and Taurus, as an earth sign, is especially fixed. It represents our stability, security, persistence, and material comfort. But life is constantly in motion, and we cannot remain fixed in the same ways forever.
Every rebirth requires a death.
In order to fulfill your purpose, to reach the next level of your journey, you may need to let go of expectations previously placed on you and the familiarity of what you’ve always done and how you’ve been.
You might not see those expectations, but you can feel how they weigh on you. This is the time to discard the yoke.
Prepare For Winter
Taurus is the sign associated with agriculture and the food supply. On the most practical level, the full moon in Taurus invites us to prepare for the oncoming winter. The November full moon is traditionally called the Beaver Moon because it marks the time when beavers are most active in building their winter lodges.
If you farmed your own produce, this would be the time of year when you canned your vegetables to preserve them for winter.
The modern equivalent would be to stock up on staples like grains, beans, frozen vegetables and spices, so that you have food on hand to cook no matter how hectic life gets — especially as we get close to the holiday season.
Prepare for the unexpected and the unseen.

Find Stability in Your Values
Taurus also represents our values. As much as you might change, your core values don’t change that might.
When chaos reigns and your nervous system gets overloaded, reconnecting with the physical ground and the psychological ground of your values helps to regulate your system.

And this full moon comes in a moment of chaos. The day prior to the full moon, Mars moved into Sagittarius. It immediately formed an opposition to Uranus in Gemini, and that opposition is still in play at the time of the full moon.
Mars is the warrior planet, and Uranus is the disruptor. When these planets align in an opposition, they tend to bring loud, explosive, disruption — both literally and metaphorically. That tendency gets amplified with Mars in a fire sign and Uranus in an air sign.
Air feeds fire, which can result in fanning the flames of whatever Mars in Sagittarius is cooking up.
The Mars/Uranus opposition represents the culmination of something that began when Mars and Uranus joined together in Taurus in July 2024.
That conjunction was about claiming radical independence. At this point in their cycle, something is being illuminated. It’s a peak moment in that journey.
What’s being revealed to you under the light of the full moon about your independence and the factors constraining you?
In addition, Mars is approaching a conjunction with Mercury in Sagittarius. This can be another spark that leads to heated arguments, or it can help you speak to the major transformation that is culminating at the Mars/Uranus opposition.
When the Disruption is Unseen But Felt
The Mars/Uranus and Mars/Mercury volatility isn’t visible to the moon in Taurus, but you don’t always need to witness a disruption to feel its effects.
Knowing that the energy might be explosive can help us stay away from unnecessary conflict.
You don’t need to join every debate. When chaos reigns, find grounding in the earth and with your values.
Remember your core values, and let go of anything that isn’t necessary for you to become the next evolution of yourself.
