what really matters?
what will be your legacy
when your days are done?
Steve Jobs famously said that the best way to create a life of meaning is to contemplate dying.
Many others throughout history have offered similar advice.
I think about death a lot. If we’ve learned anything in this pandemic it’s that life is short and unpredictable. There’s no guaranteed tomorrow.
When I consider this I often wonder,
what will people say about me?
There’s a myth that we can control our legacy. It’s wishful thinking. You can’t control what people say about you when you’re dead anymore than you can control what they say while you’re alive.
But if you could control it, what would you want them to say?
What really matters?
Love it? Hate it? What do you think? Don't hold back...
