The Ultimate Sales Strategy Comes From Pisces

February 25, 2025 | Renée Fishman

When you’re looking for sales strategies, your first instinct might not be to consider the signs of the zodiac. After all, what does astrology have to do with sales?

Well, everything — when you understand that astrology is a framework.

Yes, it’s the study of planetary patterns. And also it’s the study of archetypes, and therefore of human nature.

If you were picking the sign that might be the salesperson of the zodiac, you might logically choose bold Aries, which charges forth on its mission, chatty Gemini, which revels in facts and figures, or bold and confident Leo, which is the ultimate performer.

Dreamy, sensitive, empathetic, Pisces, which often seems avoidant or spaced out, is not an obvious first choice. After all, Mercury, the planet associated with sales, struggles in Pisces.

Pisces as an astute salesperson becomes obvious when you more fully understand its nature and what it offers over previous signs.

Why Pisces Teaches the Ultimate Sales Strategy

We can best see Pisces sales prowess when we compare it to Aquarius, the previous sign.

Each sign of the zodiac has a corrective quality over the previous sign.

Aquarius is a sign of ideas, innovation, and future-thinking. It seeks to create community and collectives — to get people to buy-in to its ideas for the future.

In service to its goals, Aquarius gives people a lot of information — a lot to think about. But all that information and thinking doesn’t necessarily move people to invest.

In fact, too much information is generally the enemy of a successful sale.

To any sales person, the most dreaded words from a prospect at the end of a sales call or meeting is I need to think about it.

Enter Pisces with the solution.

Pisces operates on intuition rather than information and data. It is empathetic and emotionally attuned. And Pisces is a sign of belief and optimism. This is the last sign of winter. It’s looking forward to the rebirth of spring — new dawn, the new day, the new beginning.

Pisces’ corrective function over Aquarius is that it gives people something to believe in, rather than just something to think about.

The Essence of Successful Sales

This is the essence of a successful sales strategy.

Whether you’re selling a product, a service, an idea, a movement, or a solution to a problem, your objective is to get other people on board.

In order for people to buy what you’re selling, they must be emotionally invested.

People don’t buy products, services, or ideas. They invest in the promise of a better future. They invest in the belief of a fresh start and new opportunities.

In its corrective function over Aquarius, Pisces teaches the ultimate sales strategy:

Give people something to believe in, rather than just something to think about.
