Tonight we get our second new moon in this Aries season. This one is much different in tone and energy than the new moon in Aries that we had in March.
While that new moon happened at the very start of Aries, this one occurs at at the last degree of Aries, just before the Sun enters Taurus.
This new moon also initiates the first eclipse season of this year, as well as a new series of eclipses that will occur on the Aries/Libra axis over the next 18 months.
Aries is a sign that likes to initiate and make bold moves, but eclipses are not a time for big, bold moves or big intentions.
The ancients viewed eclipses with trepidation, because eclipses cause the main luminaries of the solar system to flicker.
Eclipses plunge us into the dark — even if just for a few moments — and can leave us struggling to find our bearings.
They are a time to lay low, go within, and look at what is in our shadow — the parts of ourselves that we have pushed away and avoided looking at.
Looking at these parts of ourselves isn’t comfortable — that’s why we pushed them aside in the first place. But only when we accept all these parts can we free up the capacity to move forward.
Love it? Hate it? What do you think? Don't hold back...
