You are a do-er. You’re diligent, hard-working, and you take action. You likely stay in constant motion.
Even when you’re “resting,” you’re likely working in some capacity.
Your mind never stops churning.
Fatigue and exhaustion are not just reactions of the physical body. They can happen on all levels: mentally, emotionally, energetically, spiritually.
Resting the body does us no good if we’re not also resting the mind, emotions, and spirit.
One challenge for many high-achievers is that we think we must earn our rest.
You might be aware you hold this belief, or this belief may still be in your unconscious. It’s often conditioned in us from an early age with scripts that tell us we can play after we complete our homework or chores.
This conditioning is false and damaging.
It’s time to condition a new belief.
You deserve to rest.
Full stop.
You deserve to rest.
Not as a reward for a job well-done. Not as a necessity because you can’t physically do anymore. Not as an inevitability once your body shuts down.
You deserve to rest.
As a matter of right.
You deserve to rest.
Because you are a human being and not a human doing.
You deserve to rest.
Unconditionally. Unapologetically. Unequivocally.
You deserve to rest.
Love it? Hate it? What do you think? Don't hold back...
