open to wonder
at Jupiter’s cazimi
receive life’s blessings
In astrology, planetary conjunctions — when two planets meet up at the same spot in the sky — are seen as new beginnings.
We get at least one conjunction a month with each new moon. This week we had several, and they’ve all been pretty major.
On the heels of the bountiful new moon in Pisces, today we get another dose of blessings when Jupiter meets up with the sun, in a special type of conjunction known as a cazimi.
Like a new moon, a cazimi — a conjunction between the sun and one of the planets — is a moment of refresh and renewal.
Jupiter is associated with the principles of growth, expansion, healing, prosperity, good fortune, and miracles. In Vedic astrology it is known as the guru, the great teacher.
In classical Roman astrology, Jupiter is known as the guardian and protector of the god. It is known as the great benefic, bringing blessings and wisdom.
Jupiter encourages us to remain open to possibility, to explore our beliefs, and to have faith.
It is the classical ruler of Pisces, so it’s moment of refresh and rejuvenation with the sun while in Pisces is extra special: it’s getting recharged in the place where it already has access to all of its powers.
Jupiter in Pisces is about filling our cups, allowing ourselves to receive the nourishment of ideas, philosophies, sentiments, and moments.
Jupiter’s renewal moment with the sun is the renewal of that part of ourselves that can step into the mystery, that can be in awe, and that knows how important wonder is to our existence.
Jupiter cazimi is full of hope and wonder, a sense of something bigger and broader than ourselves.
This is a moment for us to allow life’s blessings to flow to us. We do not ned to prove ourselves worthy of receiving by working hard or trying hard — we can simply allow what wants to flow to us.
You are deserving of life’s blessings just because you are here.
Love it? Hate it? What do you think? Don't hold back...
