Sometimes the mind chatter gets too loud. Like a bad radio frequency with too much static, it’s hard to hear the music.
When this happens it’s hard to focus or to be coherent.
Human beings are not machines. We are not cars or computers.
We are complex organisms, systems of systems, porous and permeable, taking in energy from our environment.
The best way to counteract the mind chatter is to stop feeding it.
Just be.
Listen to the patter of the rain. Watch the waves. Take in a sunset or a sunrise. Explore nature.
Breathe. Move. Exercise.
Come back into your body. Feel the sensations that tell your you’re alive.
The chatter will recede to the background.
