Jupiter in Pisces: Slow Down to Receive

May 13, 2021 | Renée Fishman

Today marks the beginning of one of the biggest moments of the year from the perspective of astrology, as Jupiter moves into Pisces.

Jupiter is the planet of magnification, expansion, blessings, healing, and abundance. Pisces is a water sign that knows no bounds. Pisces is everywhere and nowhere; mutable and hard to pin down. As the last sign in the zodiac, it has a little bit of each sign that came before it.

Jupiter in this environment spreads its blessing everywhere.

Any time a planet transits to a new sign we feel an energetic shift. But Jupiter moving into Pisces is big for another reason too:

Jupiter is said to be at home in Pisces. What that means is that it feel free to fully express. It has access to its full power; it is fully resourced.

Jupiter, the planet of expansion just spent the past 19 months in signs ruled by Saturn, whose signature is all about boundaries and limits.

In its home sign of Pisces, the shackles are off. Jupiter has free reign to share its gifts and its bounty without limits or restrictions.

Jupiter has sovereignty here; in the language of the Kabbalah it is in its malchut, which is the theme in this final week of counting the Omer. Malchut represents the divine feminine, who receives in order to birth new life.

Jupiter wants to give abundantly and generously.

Get ready to receive.

Coming on the heels of this week’s generative new moon in Taurus, it feels like a radical shift in energy, which, while welcome, can also feel exhausting — especially if you’re highly attuned to energy shifts.

As much as our minds may want to seize the moment, we would be wise to remember that Taurus (the energy of the current season) and Pisces, home to Jupiter, are all about slowing down.

Jupiter takes approximately 12 years to make its way around the wheel of the zodiac; it’s not rushing anywhere and it’s teaching us the value of taking it slow.

When we spend our lives rushing from one thing to the next we miss the magic of the moment we are in. Among Jupiter’s many blessings is the blessing of faith.

So give yourself permission to slow down and take care of yourself.

Listen to the inner voice that resides deep inside your heart. Ask it what it needs and state its desire with clarity. Have faith that it will come, that it will happen, that it is already happening in ways that you cannot see if you are moving at warp speed.

When you stop to rest in the beauty of the moment, you see that all you desire is already here, within you. You only need to open to it.

Unbounded blessings
Abundant and generous
Jupiter is home
