When it comes to body language, most people focus on reading it: looking for signs about how another person feels based on how they hold themselves.
How often are you listening to body language — specifically, your own?
The body is always speaking to us; it’s language is sensation.
Examples of this litter our spoken language
a gut feeling
an inner knowing
a cold shoulder
open hearted
on pins and needles
a hardened heart
a sweet tooth
itchy feet
butterflies in the stomach
blood boiling
blowing off steam
a stiff upper lip
getting the juices flowing
feeling the weight on your shoulders
get off my back
get out of my hair
Other times we might simply describe what we feel. A throat that closes. A contraction in the belly or the chest.
The sensations carry important messages. When we are disconnected from our bodies we miss these messages.
Sometimes we don’t realize we disconnect. Sitting in front of the computer all day, absorbed in busy tasks, we lose touch with sensation.
Or, sometimes sensation is so strong that we numb it with medication, food, or other substances.
Learning to listen to your body requires practice, but you will find that it has all the answers you seek.
No body can give you better guidance than your own body can.

listen to your body
it’s language of sensation
will guide you to truth
Love it? Hate it? What do you think? Don't hold back...
