Change is the only constant in life. It’s inevitable.
Over the next seven years, we’re going to experience a rapid pace of change unlike anything we’ve seen before, thanks to Uranus in Gemini.
Uranus is the planet of disruption and Gemini is a mutable sign that already craves variety and stimulation. This is a recipe for massive and constant change that will unfold in the collective and in your personal life.
With Uranus in Gemini, you will not be able to avoid change. Nor should you. Change facilitates growth and is healthy for us.
That said, not all change is in your control. Where change happens around you, you’ll need to adapt. When you’re in charge, you’ll want to be prudent.
Here are 3 types of changes to avoid making at any time, and especially under a Uranus transit.
3 Types of Change to Avoid Making
(1) Change For the Sake of Change
Every client who comes through the door of my real estate practice thinks they want to sell their home and/or buy a new home.
But sometimes that’s not really what they want to do
After further exploration, it sometimes becomes clear that that the client doesn’t actually want to move, or that moving isn’t aligned for them. In that case, there’s usually a different change that is more aligned. For one client who loved her home and her neighborhood, it turned out that what she actually wanted to do was renovate and redecorate.
For another client, it turned out that the change that was really aligned was to find a new job.
Thanks to my coaching approach to working with my clients, I have been able to help them discover whether moving is truly aligned before they invested significant time, energy, and financial resources into pursuing a path that wasn’t aligned.
Beware of change for the sake of change — especially if the change is irreversible, difficult, or costly to reverse.
Not everything is broken; sometimes there’s nothing to fix. Discern what’s aligned.
This principle applies to any significant change, whether it’s your home, a relationship, a career, or something else.
Even a small internal shift or external tweak might relieve the pressure without completely upending your life. Before you put your home on the market, file for divorce, or leave your job, consider what change you really want to make and whether there’s a less drastic way to make it.
Perhaps there’s a way to experiment with a smaller scale version of the change before you uproot your life.
It’s better to explore options before you pull the trigger on a change that can be hard to unravel.
(2) Changes Dictated By Others
Over the years, I’ve worked with many clients who were heading down a path that was chosen by someone else.
I’ve worked with clients who really wanted to live in a specific type of apartment in one neighborhood but were focused on a different style apartment in a different neighborhood because that’s what their parents or other advisors thought was best for them or what they believed was the “best investment.”
I’ve seen this pattern arise with other clients in their careers or in their relationships; even in deciding what courses and programs to invest in.
Part of the role of Uranus is to awaken your authenticity; to liberate you from the constraints of your current system or paradigm.
The most unhappy people I’ve met are those who have suppressed their true desires for a path that others thought would be good for them. Likewise, those who choose a path because they believe it will bring them more money or greater status almost always feel imprisoned by their life choices.
The golden handcuffs are the hardest to unshackle.
Make sure the change you’re making is aligned for you — not with someone else’s desires.
(3) Change Dictated By a Sense of Urgency
The first part of a Uranus transit often feels front loaded with the energy of urgency, and you might feel the pressure to make a big change when the impulse strikes.
Remember that Uranus in Gemini in 2025 is a preview of the longer transit. Uranus still has one more trip back to Taurus before settling into Gemini in 2026 for a full 7 years.
Between now and November 2025, take note of what impulses to change are bubbling up for you.
Recognize your restlessness, resentments, and dissatisfaction.
Learn to sit in the discomfort for longer than you think is tolerable.
Most impulses to make a major change pass like a wave; we forget them within a few days. Take note of the impulses that recur; those are your prime areas for change.
Instead of making impulsive changes from a sense of urgency, make considered changes from a place of alignment.
Love it? Hate it? What do you think? Don't hold back...
