Each year the new moon in Virgo arrives with back-to-school vibes. We associate this time of year with new notebooks and pens, with a new curriculum and a new outlook.
It’s time for a fresh start, even as the warmth of summer still gives us beach vibes.
Virgo is an earth sign, and it encourages us to make our ideas tangible.
But which ideas?
Virgo is a sign associated with pickiness and fussiness, which can turn into critical and perfectionist. This part of Virgo is often shamed, but it comes from a necessary place:
Virgo is the time of year where we harvest crops. This comes with the task of assessing which ones are good to preserve and which ones must be discarded.
The same applies to our ideas. Which ones are ripe for implementation and which ones are ready to be discarded, or at least placed on the back burner? What needs to go back on a shelf to ripen for a while?
It’s necessary to be discerning before we just start taking action.
This new moon is opposing Saturn in Pisces, which brings an extra layer of discernment. Saturn is the planet that likes to say “no.” It reminds us of our limits: of all our resources, but especially of time.
What we initiate at this new moon is something that we should not expect to build over night.
Saturn tells us that what is worth building takes time, patience, and discipline to stay the course.
At this new moon, cull through your ideas, be discerning, and commit to the time it’s going to take to build something tangible.
Love it? Hate it? What do you think? Don't hold back...
