In a world so focused on doing, any form of not doing is radical, even revolutionary. I am finding that more people are keying into this revolutionary mindset, the need for time and practices to rest and restore, for rituals to create space.
In my own practice I have learned that, rather than being a stance opposed to work, this is merely another form of the Work.
Nobody has ever accused me of not doing the “Work.”
And, if I’m going to do the work, I need to do all of the Work.
A new moon in Pisces is a perfect time for day-dreaming and staring out at the water.
So I took myself on an artists date to a park on Long Island Sound and did just that.
Pisces rules my sixth house of work, so it was also a perfect time to contemplate what work looks like.
What The Work Looks Like
Sometimes Work looks like
a full schedule of
outreach
calls
writing
working on websites
marketing
hustling
focusing
doing.
Other times it looks like
Daily yin
yoga nidra
weekly sound baths
Reiki circles
sitting by the water
staring at the horizon
day dreaming.
It’s the work
of not working.
A focus
on not focusing.
Just being.
Not just being.
Being.
Love it? Hate it? What do you think? Don't hold back...
