The pursuit of mastery in any endeavor or realm is not for the faint of heart.
The minute you think you know something, you no longer know it. Everything you know is from the past, and the past doesn’t dictate the future.
Everything you learn exposes you to more that is unknown. It’s best to accept that you’ll never learn it all in one shot. Nor should you want to — that would eliminate the fun of exploring new nuances and layers as you evolve in your thinking.
Just when you think you’ve nailed a crucial skill or an understanding of how something worked, you’ll experience a decline in another skill. This seems to be a law of nature.
In the pursuit of mastery you will inevitably make mistakes, hit stumbling blocks, or have your foundation knocked out from under you. You will be forced to begin again.
We therefore must approach the pursuit of mastery with humility. This is the same for any creative endeavor.

If you’re serious about attaining mastery, the first thing you must do is let go of your ego.
Mastery can be attained only with an open mind and heart, a curiosity of spirit, and a willingness to learn.
Love it? Hate it? What do you think? Don't hold back...
