Right now we are in a crucial transition period, collectively, globally, individually. Regimes are changing. The rules and structures we live within are changing. The strategies and ways of working that used to work will no longer work going forward.
This is obvious — and so cliché.
And yet how often does it happen that even while the world around us changes, we continue to hold on to old ways of doing things?
It’s easy to get stuck in a rut of a routine that once worked but that no longer serve us.
These early weeks in the year offer an invitation to look more deeply at where we’re holding on to an old way, to strategies that no longer serve us.
This is where my year-end-reflection ritual intersects with my year-planning ritual: looking at what is no longer working and what needs to change.
- What strategies or ways of working are no longer serving you?
- What’s not working in your life, business, relationships, etc?
- Where do you need to make a change?
The future is here. It’s time to let go of the old ways.
As the Zen saying goes:
Let go or be dragged.
Love it? Hate it? What do you think? Don't hold back...
