Can you dare to believe in the your wildest dreams? Can you cultivate the faith to follow the biggest vision you have for your future? Can you trust the process enough to consistently tend and nurture the dream seeds of your most expansive possibility?
This week brings us what is perhaps the most auspicious astrology of 2025.
Jupiter conjunct the Sun in Cancer followed by a New Moon in Cancer invites us to hit the restart button, encourages us to dream big, and promises to help us grow into our most expansive possibility.
Jupiter Cazimi

First up is the Jupiter cazimi (June 24, 11:17 am ET, 3º21’). A cazimi occurs when a planet meets up with the Sun at the same degree of the zodiac.
A cazimi is like a “new moon” moment for the planet. It marks the end of one cycle and the beginning of the next. As Jupiter disappears into the Sun’s light, it is purified and reborn.
This is a reset of all things related to Jupiter: blessings, abundance, wisdom, generosity, growth, faith, justice, and higher purpose.
Although Jupiter meets the Sun once a year, this year’s conjunction is especially potent. It occurs in Cancer, where Jupiter is exalted, which mean that Jupiter has access to all the resources it needs to do its job.
In Cancer, Jupiter helps us grow and expand ourselves, our dreams, and our faith, through care, trust, nurturing, and devotion.
Because this Jupiter cazimi happens so early in the sign, it effectively sets the foundation for Jupiter’s year-long transit through Cancer. It’s an opening: a moment to attune to the divine wisdom within and plant the seed of potential for what you want to grow and nurture over the coming year.
New Moon in Cancer

Just after the Jupiter cazimi we get the New Moon in Cancer (June 25, 6:31 AM ET, 4º07’ Cancer).
Every new moon marks the beginning of a new cycle and a time to set intentions and plant seeds, but the new moon in Cancer is always one of the best. That’s because the moon is the ruler of Cancer.
So this new moon in Cancer is doubly auspicious:
- it’s a new moon in the Moon’s own sign
- it’s a new moon conjunct Jupiter, in the sign of its exaltation
The new moon effectively brings Jupiter, the Sun, and the Moon together for a new beginning. It’s a new start for both Jupiter’s and the moon’s cycles, in the place where they are both at their best.
This is a potent moment for a fresh start in a place where you are comfortable, at ease, and have access to every resource you need to assist you.
Minor Complications and Helpful Assists
All that said, there are some complications:
The Sun, Moon, and Jupiter are all still coming off their squares to Saturn and Neptune. This means that we need to get specific on our intentions and desires, and to watch out for chasing delusional dreams.
We must ground our big dreams in reality.
The new moon also is in a supportive aspect to Mars, the planet of action, which is in Virgo. That can give us an extra boost to take specific actions we need to start to nurture the seeds we are planting.
A Potent Restart
This is a potent moment for a fresh start in a place where you are comfortable, at ease, and have access to every resource you need to assist you.
This is a moment to trust the process, to cultivate faith that we can grow through rest and nurturing, rather than through exhaustion and burnout. It’s a moment to believe in the possibility of your wildest dreams, and in your ability to make them real.
As the Moon and Jupiter disappear into the heart of the Sun, go within and attune to your deepest desires and most expansive possibilities. Cultivate faith, believe in yourself, take consistent action, and trust the process of growth.
