Transparency is Awesome
(aka Disclosures and Disclaimers)
Do you ever wonder who reads the fine print?
I do. And I guess you do, too.
In my former life as an attorney, my areas of practice included intellectual property licensing, false advertising law, and the laws governing promotions.
Did you ever wonder who writes the fine print?
I did. I wrote those sweepstakes rules that most people don’t read.
All that to say, if you’re here, reading the fine print, thank you.
Transparency Generates Trust
I place a high value on honesty, authenticity, and transparency.
Also, I want to earn your trust.
I also think “legal jargon” is awful.
So, below you will find my disclosures and disclaimers written as plainly as possible.
This page will probably tell you more about me than the “About Me” page. That’s because I’m not great at keeping things in their boxes.

Disclosure of Material Connection
In accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255: “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising” here are some disclosures:
Endorsements & Reviews
Any endorsements that I provide — whether of a product, person, book, program, or something else — are made from my heart.
I do not recommend anything unless I’ve used it or experienced it personally.
As of the most recent update of this page in July 2024, no company has paid me to review any product or offering. Any reviews I provide of products, services, events, courses, or other experiences are initiated by me and reflect my true experience.
This site a place where I share my experiences. If I have an amazing experience with something, I like to tell the world. If I have a negative experience, I also like to tell the world. (Although I usually keep it to myself.)
If you think you have a product that I will love, you are welcome to send it to me. I will disclose that fact in my review. Also, be careful what you wish for. If I don’t like it, I will let people know.
I am not a good liar. If I don’t like something, I can’t pretend otherwise.
Affiliate Links
Throughout this site, you may find links to resources, products, or books. These may be “affiliate links.” This means if you click on the link and purchase the item referenced, I will receive a commission from the seller.
Please know that I only recommend products or services that I use personally or that I believe will add value to you.
This site participates in Amazon’s Affiliate Program. In addition, I may receive affiliate links to share programs and products created by others.
I will disclose those relationships where they exist.
Disclaimers About What I Share on this Site
Advice Provided Here
I am relentlessly curious about the world and have studied a wide range of disciplines. People seek my help on a wide range of issues.
My guidance is sourced from formal education, certifications, as well as insights and wisdom gained over the course of almost 50 years of life experience, failures, and successes.
Although my life experience includes professional degrees and licenses, no guidance I offer on this site should be construed as professional advice of any kind.
Below is a brief overview of some of my relevant training and disclaimers related to what I share and don’t share.
Legal
I am a lawyer, but I don’t give legal advice.
Sometimes I see a disclaimer on a website that says, “I’m not a lawyer.”
That doesn’t apply here.
I earned a law degree from Columbia University in 2000 and was admitted to practice in 2001. I continue to maintain an active license and am a member in good standing of the New York State Bar.
That said, I have not engaged in the practice of law since 2008.
Nothing I write should be construed as offering legal advice.
I know a lot of great lawyers, and when I need legal advice I call one of them. You should always consult your own attorney for legal guidance. If you need an attorney, I’d be happy to introduce you to one.
Real Estate or Financial
Nothing on this site should be construed as offering real estate or financial advice.
I have been a licensed real estate broker in the state of New York since 2007. I am currently a Licensed Associate Real Estate Broker with Brown Harris Stevens in New York City.
In that capacity, I work with buyers, sellers, investors, owners, and renters both locally and globally (via referrals to our outstanding colleagues). My primary area of expertise in real estate is in the New York City market.
I also work as a consultant to real estate clients in other areas, advising more generally on issues such as pricing, staging, and navigating transactions.
In addition, I offer coaching and consulting to other real estate agents, both in New York and globally, helping them navigate issues with their clients and offer better client service.
My clients come to me for the same honesty, transparency and real advice that I offer in every area.
While I may write about real estate here, nothing I write should be taken as direct advice about any real estate transaction, or the general decision to buy, sell, or invest in real estate.
Each person has a different financial and personal situation, and the advice I provide to my clients is tailored to their individual needs. If you have specific questions about your situation, please contact me and I will be happy to help.
Health, Wellness + Fitness
I am a devoted fitness enthusiast who has worked extensively with physical therapists and trainers to unpack my own mobility and movement issues. I am also a yoga teacher and energy healer.
Since the age of 19, I have devoured information and put it to the test to improve my physical health and fitness. I have maintained a daily workout regiment for over a decade and I believe in the philosophy of movement as medicine.
In addition, I have also studied various forms of alternative healing and received care from a variety of providers. I write based on my own experience as a woman with ADHD and a history of trauma and poor muscle coordination who has used various modalities to find more ease in movement, build strength, and better manage stress and the impacts of ADHD.
The guidance and advice I offer here are based on my experiences and what I have learned from the experts and professionals who I’ve retained to guide me.
That said, I’m not a doctor and I don’t play one on TV. Nothing in this site should be construed as offering medical advice, nutrition advice, or specific advice about the best fitness program for you. I encourage you to consult with your own doctors and professional advisors.
I can speak only to my results and experiences. To the extent I share information that comes from research, I endeavor to find the most updated research. I encourage you to do your own research and experiments to find what works for you.
You are in control of your own body and your decisions.
Coaching: Life, Business, Relationships, Productivity
I offer coaching and consulting services and often write about topics related to the topics I coach about.
I completed the Sacred Depths Practitioner Training through Joanna Lindenbaum of AdvancedDepths.com. This is an industry-leading training that goes beyond what is offered by the International Coaching Federation. I have also studied under Tony Robbins and several other high profile and low-profile mentors.
I take a holistic view of coaching: business and relationships are part of life. Sales and marketing is how you spread ideas and get the results you desire. And productivity is how you fulfill your purpose in the world.
My guidance in the area of ADHD comes from my own hard-earned wisdom and years of trial and error in my own life.
I cannot make any guarantees of the results you can expect.
Your results will be based on your personal abilities, experience, knowledge, capabilities, level of desire, and an infinite number of variables beyond my control, including variables I or you have not anticipated. There are no guarantees concerning the level of success you may experience.
Astrology
I am a student of astrology and enjoy writing about it. I find astrology to be a useful language for describing the lived experience as well as a profound tool for productivity and personal development.
My essays on astrology are intended to be informative and entertaining, and to offer general insights and prompts to aid your productivity and personal growth. I believe each person has agency and free will. I encourage you to use yours when deciding how and whether to take action in your life.
The Thoughts, Ideas, and Opinions Expressed Here Are Mine. They Are Subject to Change at Any Time.
This should not be necessary to say, but we live in a time of decreasing common sense, and people often want to throw in our faces things we said one time.
So let’s be very clear:
The articles and essays on this site represent my thoughts, insights, ideas, and opinions at the point in time that I wrote them. My opinions and thoughts are subject to change without notice, at any time.
I am, of course, influenced by many mentors, teachers, books, friends, and experiences. When I reference works or ideas from others, I give them credit via links to their sites.
I am a work in progress, and what’s cool about that is that I constantly engage in new experiences and stimuli. My thoughts and opinions are subject to change as I continue to evolve and grow.
That’s how it works.
If I run for political office one day and express a thought different from something that is written here, it doesn’t mean I’ve flip-flopped. It simply means I’ve evolved my thinking. That’s how this thing called life works.
In fact, sometimes I think two contradictory things at the same time. Sometimes I don’t know what I think. Daniel Pink advised that “sometimes you have to write to figure it out.” That’s what I do here.
