These days we too often arrive somewhere in pieces. Your physical body enters a room but your mind is still in the last place we were, or stuck in what happened yesterday. Or it skipped the current destination and is already in the next place.
Your heart is protecting itself from being hurt so it’s not open to the experience of where you are now.
Your eyes are in your phone, scrolling a world of words and images that are far removed from where you are, instead of focused on what’s around you. You’re listening to chatter in your head instead of to the people around you or the sounds of nature.
All these other places where you are, they are also resistance. They keep you from being in the present moment. They keep you from experiencing life as it is. You think you are there but you’re missing out on what’s in front of you.
Life is a live event. There’s no fast forward or rewind button. You must live each moment as it comes.
How are you showing up?
